Soylent

Soylent's central premise was that consuming a balanced, healthy meal shouldn't be difficult or expensive. In 2013, when they shared a workspace and subsisted on frozen dinners and ramen noodles, their co-founders first met. The idea for the meal replacement product was developed as an experiment by co-founders Rob Rhinehart, John Coogan, David Renteln, and Matt Cauble. They posit that cooking might be made less complicated. They were software engineers after all, and they wanted to develop better food for themselves.
